The Brief
PRETTYBIRD asked me to create a treatment for Jora Frantzis. I had to create the layout and pull images of Billie Eilish, Beat Saber, and dance choreography, organize them into folders, and archive them for later use in the Image Library. Let’s take a look at how I designed the treatment.
Research
This was PRETTYBIRD’s biggest image pull yet, and it required the help of the entire team. After reading through the script and listening to the conference calls between Jora Frantzis, Oculus, and Billie Eilish, I looked through Jora’s past treatments and commercials to understand the director’s design aesthetic. I also watched Billie’s latest music videos because she was really strict on sticking to her new image and the color beige (she was quitting neon green and black). We then compiled these images into folders and quickly fleshed out the layout. After sending the deck to Jora, she took the time to thank the entire team because she felt the amount of work that went into it.
